OTHER SERVICES
ALTERNATIVE FORMATS
RISE offers alternative format services to businesses, restaurants, and other agencies to convert the printed materials used by them into a form usable by individuals with particular disabilities. These services may include translating material into Braille, large-print and audiotape mediums.
HOUSING PROGRAM
RISE provides community awareness,relocation, and transition services to assist people who live in nursing facilities to transition back into the community. Applicants are required to meet service eligibility criteria.

COMPUTER LAB/INTERNET
RISE offers a computer lab with current technology which allows people with limits in vision, speech, movement, hearing, or learning to learn independent living skills, write a resume, advocacy, or just become more comfortable operating a computer. Consumers can make an appointment to learn how to use specialized input and output devices.
LIBRARY OF DISABILITY RELATED MATERIALS
RISE has available to the public publications relating to an array of topics dealing with individuals with disabilities. Included in our library is product information as well as information on Americans with Disabilities Act and Fair Housing Act. Certain items may be checked-out.
COMMUNITY SERVICES
COALITION BUILDING
RISE provides community-based services for professionals, organizations, and local businesses to develop broad-based coalitions. These arrangements improved the quality of services for individuals with disabilities. RISE will partner with human service networks and private sector through outreach and referral activities to serve consumers. Strong collaborative relationships create a wide service network to prevent consumers from falling through the cracks of a complex service provider networks.
CONSULTING/DISABILITY TRAINING
RISE provides consulting, disability awareness workshops, and training on architectural and attitudinal barriers facing persons with disabilities. These offerings provide insightful perspectives on these issues and solutions for accessible accommodations required by organizations and businesses.
DEVELOPMENT OF ACCESSIBLE ENVIRONMENTS
A "hands on" look at the latest technology invocations in real-world settings. RISE's technology lab showcases accessible equipment and furniture available for employers and organizations to providing reasonable job accommodations for people with disabilities. Staff will display features of accessible computers used by persons with physical and visual impairments.
